At St Lucia Kindergarten, our educators are responsive and inclusive to ensure all children feel secure, confident and involved. We value and build on each children's strengths, skills and knowledge to ensure they are motivated and engaged in learning.
All of our teachers and educators are highly qualified, experienced and passionate about early childhood education and community Kindergarten in particular. Consistency and familiarity of staff for children is strongly valued in our model of care.
We believe that interactions and relationships are vitally important for learning. We actively promote children's learning through worthwhile and challenging experiences and interactions that foster high-level thinking skills.
Intentional teaching involves educators being deliberate, purposeful and thoughtful in their decisions and actions. Educators will use strategies such as modelling, demonstrating, open ended questioning, shared thinking and problem solving to extend the children's understanding and learning.
