Educators
C&K St Lucia Kindergarten employs a team of highly qualified and dedicated educators.
Each class of 22 children has a trained Early Childhood Teacher and an experienced Assistant. Each class also has the help of an additional Assistant to support the children and educators during the busy day.
Our Director is also available in the office on one day per week (alternate Tuesdays and Wednesdays) to assist with curriculum coordination and implementation. This enables the team of educators to provide the very best opportunities for children to learn in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Role of the Educators
We believe that interactions and conversation are vitally important for learning. Teachers actively promote children's learning through worthwhile and challenging experiences and interactions that foster high-level thinking skills.
Intentional teaching involves educators being deliberate, purposeful and thoughtful in their decisions and actions. Educators will use strategies such as modeling, demonstrating, open ended questioning, explaining, shared thinking and problem solving to extend the children's understanding and learning.
At St Lucia Kindergarten, educators are responsive to all children's strengths, abilities and interests. They value and build on children's strengths, skills and knowledge to ensure they are motivated and engaged in learning. Educators plan opportunities for intentional teaching and knowledge building.
